Mancat Monday

Kitties, I have no pictures of my handsome self for you today. Mommy was *gasp* BUSY without ME this weekend!

On Saturday she went to see "The Dark Knight" with Almost Dad. Again, she didn't take me. I may have to disguise myself and sneak in so I can review it for you kitties later.

On Sunday she went with Almost Dad to his parent's house, because he had relatives visiting from France! Here is a picture of Almost Dad with his two teenaged French cousins. Almost Dad is the handsomest one on the left. (Mommy made me say "handsomest.")

Then they all went out and had dinner together, and then they took the French relatives to Centennial Olympic Park. Here are some pictures Mommy took so that I could share them with you.

Mommy had forgotten, but the National Black Arts Festival was going on, so there was some good live music playing in the park.

Here is a picture of the Georgia Aquarium - you can see it from the park. Mommy hasn't been there yet, because it is too expensive and crowded. Maybe one day.

And here is the CNN Center. This is where all of that boring news on CNN is filmed from. It also is attached to the Omni Hotel, and has stores and a food court and an entrance to Phillips Arena in it. Phillips Arena is where Atlanta's hockey team The Thrashers play, and also where a lot of big concerts are held. You may have heard about the Omni Hotel on the news when that big tornado hit mid-town Atlanta a few months ago. The Omni Hotel got A LOT of damage. You could still see several buildings around the area that haven't been completely fixed yet.

Here is a store at the CNN Center that mommy would have definitely visited if it had been open - The Turner Store. You can see why - CARTOONS! Mommy was actually a little relieved it was closed, because she would have been tempted to spend money she didn't have.

And finally, here is a picture of Mommy and Almost Dad at the park. I wish I could say Mommy was being artistic making it off-center, but it really is because Mommy was trying to take their picture and she is bad at aiming the camera correctly. At least you can see a lot of the park in the background this way. Mommy looks super pale, doesn't she?

There you go, kitties! No handsome Prince Tybalt today, but you did get to see a little of our great capitol city, Atlanta! Or HOTlanta as we call it - it was in the upper 90s yesterday. No wonder Mommy was hot and crabby when she got home last night!

Oh, Tybalt! I missed seeing you today. However, I did enjoy the tour of Hotlanta. Mom has been there several times since it is only a few hours away from Columbia, SC. Stay cool in this hot weather!

Hi Tybalt! Thanks for visiting my bloggy. Its so nice to meet another Georgia kitty (& family). We used to live closer to Atlanta but now we are out in the country near Helen. Meowmy misses the buzz of the city but we enjoy the quieter outside exploring. I'm gonna have her add you to her reader thingy so we can get to know you better. See ya soon!
