Well, kitties, I have some big news that I couldn't tell you before today.
Mommy wasn't in Helen alone. Mommy was with the ex-Almost Dad. Except he's not an ex anymore.
How did that happen? You may well ask, considering the very sad and upset post I made about the Almost Dad back in August of last year. You may remember, he left mommy out of the blue. And the reasons mommy assumed he had for leaving were spot on. (Mommy knows Almost Dad and his family pretty well.) Anyway, while he was gone mommy started her classes again and went to a Braves baseball game and helped me blog and kept living her life and trying to not miss him or keep hurting over the whole thing. And then one Friday afternoon she left work and there he was waiting for her next to her car in the parking lot, and instead of driving away and ignoring him she let him talk to her. To make a long story short, Almost Dad realized that what he and mommy and we furry babies had was too good to lose over anything else in the entire world, and that he was going to do anything and everything he could to get it all back and make it work. So mommy gave him one more chance, because even though he hurt her she still loved him and missed him - and because Ivy was driving her crazy with the crying. (Ivy even started to lose her pretty furs!)
So Almost Dad came back into our lives. (And Ivy's fur grew back and her crying stopped.)
And on Valentine's Day, Mommy and Almost Dad went to Helen to celebrate.
And at Helen, Almost Dad asked mommy if he could be our Forever Dad. And she said yes.
I suppose this just proves, kitties, that love can conquer all and that sometimes happy endings come even when you think there is no hope for it. Mommy is very glad she took the chance and trusted Almost Dad to be the man she knew he could be. We are all very happy, especially Ivy.
I couldn't share the news before today because Almost Dad had to break the news to his family. They are not happy, but maybe that will change. But even if it doesn't, we are happy and excited enough for everyone.

Wordy Wednesday - Relay For Life
This is my Uncle Sean. He is mommy's little brother. Although he isn't so little anymore.
Uncle Sean is awesome in a lot of ways. He is an honor student in all honors/advanced placement classes. He is on his school's swim team. He plays the viola in his school's orchestra. He is a member of the Beta Club. He loves furries. And what is making him yet even more awesome is that he is participating in Relay For Life this year! How super awesome is that?
I know many of us and our beans have had our lives touched by cancer. Even now, our friends Storm and Rascal are battling lymphoma. That is why knowing that Uncle Sean is doing something to raise money for cancer research means so much to me. Uncle Sean sent out an email letting everyone know what he was doing, and how they can help.
Dear Family and Friends,
I've decided to take action against cancer by participating in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life® event right here in my community. Relay For Life® is about celebration, remembrance, and hope. By participating, I am honoring cancer survivors, paying tribute to the lives we've lost to the disease, and raising money to help fight it. Please help support me in this important cause by making a donation. It is faster and easier than ever to support me by making a secure, tax-deductible donation online using the link below. If you would prefer, you can send your contribution to the mailing address listed below.Whatever you can give will help - it all adds up! I greatly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.
Sincerely,
Sean
If any of you kitties or your beans would like to help my Uncle Sean raise money, you can click on the link below to electronically donate on his page. Or if you would rather mail a check to him with your donation, you can e-mail me at princetybalt AT gmail DOT com and I will send you back his address. Mommy and I are donating to him as soon as she gets her green papers at the end of the month. Hurray for Uncle Sean! We are very proud of him.

Wordy Wednesday
My mommy wanted to tell everykitty and their parents how much she appreciated their well-wishes and purrs. She thinks she cracked her tailbone in that nasty fall, and driving to work and sitting all day is no fun as a result, but she can tell that all the purrs are really working!
The twins and I have a lot of catching up to do . . . so . . . here goes!
First, I would like to thank the wonderfully creative Sassy for bestowing upon me this wonderful award.

- Miss Peach, for always being such a caring and loving kitty to both her parents and her friends. We love you, Miss Peach!
- Zippy, Sadie, and Speedy, for always making me laugh. I hope things calm down at your house soon so that we can visit you more often!
- Tripper, the Psyko Stray for making me think. Sometimes after I read his blog I have to think really hard. (But mostly I just laugh.)
- And last but not least, the kitties at Artsy Catsy. Even with their busy schedules, they still manage to keep us up to date.
And the wonderful Karen Jo tagged me for a meme! I've done it before, but I love having the chance to do it again. Also, the Terrible Tortie Twins were tagged for this same meme by Molly, and let me tell you, they are SUPER excited about it! Here are the rules:
You have to post who tagged you and link back to them and then to Petspix. Then you have to tag 3 other kitties, beans, woofies, or any other assorted animal. What three things would you do that you have never done before, if you knew you wouldn't get caught, get in trouble, or suffer any consequences?
Ok, my answers this time are:
- I would learn to drive a car, so that I could take Samantha out with me and we could go get yummy food from those drive-thru places and eat until we popped! I hear you can get fish and chicken that way. . . and mommy always brings me back straws when she goes!
- Speaking of straws, I would get a squillion straws and put them all in a great big pile and then lay on top of them. No one would take them away from me or throw them away. Instead, everyone would admire me for my treasure.
- I would grow a green paper tree so that my mommy wouldn't have to go to work to hunt the green papers everyday. That way she would stay home with me. Oh, and everyday would be pajama day! Pajama day always means more snuggling.
Holly says:
- I would make every door in the house have an easier latch thingy, so I could slap them all open instead of having to learn how to turn knobs. No room would ever be safe from my exploration!
- I would go outside and hunt those naughty squirrels! They are forever coming up on my porch to stare back at me through the window and taunt me with their chattering and their fluffy, twitchy tails. I'd show them!
- I'd have a room all to myself, filled with catnip and grandmama's shoes! Oooooh . . . they smell so good and make me so happy that I just have to bunnykick and purr . . . . and then bunnykick some more!
Ivy says:
- I would go down to the basement as much as I liked and explore, explore, explore!
- I would run out the door into the backyard as much as I liked and explore, explore, explore!
- I would whap as many things as I liked without getting in trouble and climb the blinds and curtains as much as I wanted and eat as much of the doggie stinky goodness as my tummy could hold!
Since I don't think there are 9 kitties that we know out there who haven't done this meme yet, each of us will just tag one kitty.
Tybalt tags his darling tuxie princess, Samantha!
Holly tags Socks, because she wants to know him better!
Ivy tags Java, because she thinks he is a handsome mancat!

Wordy Wednesday
Wow! I have been popular this week! It's enough to make a prince blush. =^_^=

Here are the rules:
1. You must write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think.
2. Acknowledge this post.
3. Optional: Proudly display the 'Thinking Blogger Award' with a link to the post that you wrote.
4. Go tell your humans to fork over the treats!
Goodness! There are so many kitties that I love! It is hard to nominate just five, but I will give it a good try . . .
I nominate:
I was also tagged by The Zoo to do the "7 Weird Things" meme once again. Since I already did it this week, I am going to hand it over to my sisters Holly and Ivy. Here are the rules:
Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog. Share seven random and/or weird facts about yourself. Tag seven random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs. Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a notification on their blog.
Ok kitties . . . I am now handing it over to the Terrible Tortie Twins!
1) We are very territorial kitties. We do not like to even see another kitty outside our front door! When Grandmama's kitties Sebastian and Leon visit our porch, we puff up and hiss and growl. Tybalt likes seeing them, though.
2) We love doggies! Loki has gotten grumpy with us lately, but Dana still lets us love on her to our hearts' content.
3) Holly likes to drink out of the doggies' water bottles that mommy keeps in their crates. As soon as mommy lets the doggies out, she can hear Holly *lick lick lick lick* at the bottles.
4) Ivy insists that mommy leave the empty can of doggie stinky goodness in the sink every night after she feeds the doggies. Then Ivy dips her paw in the can to get any that is left. She thinks it is yummy.
5) Actually, both Holly and Ivy LOVE doggie stinky goodness!
6) Ivy chirps and trills, especially when she is being naughty. She always tells on herself. Holly rarely makes any noise, but lately she's been yowling at night . . . just when mommy gets in bed. She thinks it is fun.
7) Holly only sleeps on the bed with mommy if it is VERY cold outside. Ivy always sleeps with mommy, unless it is VERY hot.
Since I've done this several times now, I won't pass it on to any specific kitty, but if you like the idea and want to do it, consider yourself tagged!
Happy Wednesday, kitties!
PS: Vesper seems to be using the litterbox more, so keep your paws crossed!
