Finally - Pictures

Well, mommy and I are giving up on saying we are going to edit pictures before we put them up . . . if we wait for that, they will NEVER be posted. So, without further ado, here are some pictures we wanted to share with you all.

Early this month, Mommy and Almost Dad and Grandmama and Uncle Sean all took a trip up to Helen together so that they could look for a wedding spot (which they did find and booked so hurray for them). It was SUPER pretty for their trip this time, unlike the chilly and cloudy yet romantic Valentine's Day trip that Mommy and Almost Dad had when they got engaged.

Mommy loved all the flowers, and she's pretty proud of how well this picture turned out.

And because mommy is a sucker for all things furry, she had to take more pictures of horsies.

Mommy is also a sucker for pretty scenery, so she had to take more pictures of the river, this time from under the bridge.

Then a few weekends ago Mommy and Grandmama and Uncle Sean and his girlfriend went to the Georgia Renaissance Festival. It was another beautiful weekend, and they had a lot of fun. Mommy and Grandmama spent most of their time looking for a wedding dress, which they found, so hurray again.

The first thing they saw when they arrived was a DRAGON!

Dragons must not be as fierce as I thought, since there is a blurpy in a wagon RIGHT THERE and no one seems to be worried . . . unless drangonslayers come younger than I thought.

They watched the Barely Balanced Acrobats. The show was both funny and amazing.

There was also a very pretty English Water Garden. Mommy really liked the froggie.

And last but not least . . . a picture of two of us furry babies. I know, it's just Loki and Dana and not us kitties, but they were being very cute using their doghouse as a double-decker napper. Loki is on top and Dana is inside. Mommy had to take the picture through the window because she knew they would run up to her if she went outside to take it, so it isn't very clear.

As you can tell, mommy has been spending A LOT of time away from me on the weekends. I don't understand why I'm not allowed to go on these trips with her . . . anykitty have advice on how a mancat can stow away?

Romantic Karaoke with Dana

Well, yesterday's Wordless Wednesday karaoke came to us courtesy of Loki. Loki felt that was the most knightly love song he had ever heard, and he approves of the movie.

As you might imagine, Dana's choice was a little more, shall we say, upbeat . . . and eccentric. I'm not sure if any other furry would have this song in their top 10 list of most romantic songs ever, but that's our Dana. At least it has a great beat and is easy to sing along to!

(Mommy squeals over the manbean David Cassidy in this one, too. Sheesh. Mommy is embarrassing!)

Thankful Thursday - Secret Paws

DANA: OHMIGOSHOHMIGOSHOHMIGOSHOHMIGOSH!
LOKI AND I GOT OUR SECRET PAWS!
OHMIGOSHOHMIGOSHOHMIGOSHOHMIGOSH!

LOKI: It was very exciting. You can just see how thrilled I was that a package finally came for me in the mail. You know, before all of the other furry babies were adopted, I'd get all the packages to myself. Nowadays Tybalt gets more mail than I do . . . and when I get mail, I have to share it with Dana. Not that I don't love Dana . . . but it just isn't the same.

LOKI: Everything smelled great, too. That box was just full of treats . . . greenie chewies and cookies . . . wonderful gastronomic delights!

DANA: It was so YUMMY I couldn't WAIT!!! I WANT IT NOWNOWNOWNOW!!!!!!

LOKI: I have to admit that Mommy took her own sweet time helping us open the box and unwrap our presents. She can be so slow. And yes, I am embarrassed to admit that my mommy was still wearing her Mickey Mouse pajamas in these pictures. I believe my mommy would LIVE in pajamas if the world would let her.

DANA: AND BILLY!!!! JUST LOOK!!!!! I GOT A SQUEAKY TOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOKI: I do love a good squeaky, myself. These toys were just the right size to carry around, and they give a good loud SQUEAK.

DANA: AND THEN! BILLY! FAGIN! I TOOK THEM BOTH!!!! I GOT LOKI'S TOO!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

LOKI: Thanks to Riley Dog for our wonderful Secret Paws!
DANA: OHMIGOSHOHMIGOSHOHMIGOSH! RILEY DOG! YOU ARE PAWSOME!!!!!!!!!!

Mancat Monday - Announcement

One this rather gloomy Mancat Monday, I have an important announcement to make.

My special kitty-loving doggie sister Dana's 4th birthday is tomorrow!

There is going to be a huge party for her here on my blog, and I hope that all of our kitty and doggie friends can come to wish her a happy birthday, and to have ham and niptinis! And, of course, there will be dancing! We all know how Dana likes to shake her booty.

There will also be a special unveiling that Dana is really excited about. She can't wait to tell Billy and Renna!

So - Don't Forget!
BIG BIRTHDAY BASH TOMORROW!

Thanks Zoolatry for the pawsome Dana artwork!

Dana's First Meme

OHMIGOSHOHMIGOSHOHMIGOSHOHMIGOSHOHMIGOSH!
I WAS TAGGED FOR MY VERY OWN MEME! ME! DANA!
OHMIGOSHOHMIGOSHOHMIGOSHOHMIGOSHOHMIGOSH!
The Torties said I could have the blog today on Tortie Tuesday, and Tybalt said he didn't mind, so today it is MEMEMEMEMEME! DANA!
Thanks Renna for tagging me! I'm soooooo excited!

1. What was I doing 10 years ago?
I wasn't around yet! I'll only be four on July 1!

2. What are the 5 things on my to do list for today?
Nap! Wrestle Loki! Bark! Nap! Wrestle Loki!

3. Snacks I enjoy:
Peanut butter! Cheese! Peanutbutter doggie biscuits! Chicken basted chewies! Anything I can steal!

4. Things I would do if I were a billionaire:
I would save more furries and bring them all home so we could PLAY all DAY! I'd make mommy stay home so that she could PLAY with me all DAY! I would buy a bigger house to PLAY all DAY in! I would buy more sofas and loveseats to roll around on, and more vents to nap in front of!
5. Three of my bad habits:
I jump on everyone because I'm so excited! I wrap myself around people and trip them because I'm so excited! I roll around on the loveseat and couch and scratch at the leather because it feels so good! I knock over the trash and surf the counters and tables because the twins tell me to! I steal kitty toys! And shoes! (Is that more than three?)

6. Five places I have lived:
I've only lived at four places. I was at the breeder, then the old people in Florida that bought me, then the rescue foster mom, then with Mommy and Loki and the kitties!

7. Five jobs I have had:
I play sheep for Loki so that he can herd me around the yard. I steal shoes and kitty toys so mommy can chase me and get exercise, so I'm a kind of personal trainer I think. I'm a kitty-sitter, I like spending time with the kitties. I'm a professional hugger and licker. I can also dance well - I like to shake my bootie!

Stormy Weather!

Mommy made it home to me right before the bad, bad, bad storm came on Tuesday night. We thought it was only a severe thunderstorm, but a tornado actually visited our area. Mommy was so impressed by how much hail we got, that she had to take a picture of it. Here is our back deck - our whole yard and the rooftops were all white with it, like it had just snowed!

Here is a little better look at the hail. It was small, but there was a lot of it. Some people close to us had ginormous hail! We were all very glad we didn't get that kind.
By 6:30 pm Tuesday night we had no power. Mommy opened all the windows she could and lit some candles. During the worst of the storm, she herded all of us furry babies into the basement, but when it passed we all got to roam the house wherever we liked. You can see in these pictures that even though it wasn't even 7:00 yet, it was already super dark outside because of all the bad weather.
Here is Dana on the back of the loveseat. She has one of our kitty toys in her mouth! She's super happy she's inside and not outside, and she's even more excited that she is getting to romp free in the house.
Here is a close-up of her . . . see how she is smiling? Our poor kitty toy will never be the same, though.
Here I am on the kitchen counter asking for more temptations. I was a little bad, because I wouldn't follow mommy into the basement. After my solo adventure down there with Ivy, I never want to go down there again. I sat at the top of the steps all poofed up and watched everyone else go in and out of the basement, but I wouldn't do it. I was glad I really didn't have to go down there. I may have scratched mommy a little bit if she had made me. *embarrassed*
Here is Loki, taking his turn on the back of the loveseat. That is the doggies' favorite spot. Loki was just relaxing after all the excitement. He was upset the air conditioner and fans weren't working, though. Loki hates to be warm. He loves cool breezes blowing through his furs. You can tell he is panting a little bit.

Here is Loki having himself a good skritch. He barked at the loud storm while it was going on, but then he calmed down when it got quiet again. However, when it was bed time, he kept crying and begging to be let back out so that he could check out what all the neighbors were doing since they were all busy with the storm clean-up. This didn't make mommy very happy with him.

Are you wondering where the Tortie Twins were?

They were down in the basement exploring and ignoring mommy! Mommy finally convinced them it was better to be upstairs than downstairs. Holly came up first (of course.) Ivy took a lot more convincing.

Back at Last!

Hello Kitties! Yes, I am back at last! Mommy had to go back to work, which means I finally get to blog again. We had a great Christmas, which I will tell you more about later. Today's post belongs to Loki and Dana and their Secret Paws! They received it just in time . . . Christmas Eve! They were very excited to get it. Their Secret Paws came from Bogdan and all the kitties at the Morning Scratch . . . and I must say, they did a wonderful job shopping for doggies. Dana and Loki received peanut butter cookie treats and tennis balls and toys . . . everything was so great that they couldn't decide what they wanted to play with first. Loki and Dana want to thank Bogdan and the Morning Scratch for all the great presents. They love it all!

Here is Loki checking out the Secret Paws package. He loves getting mail!

Here is Dana coming to see what all the fuss is about. You can tell by the look in Loki's eye that he wasn't really wanting to share with her. Sometimes he thinks Dana is a bratty baby sister.

Thanks again, everyone! Between the Secret Paws and all the Holiday cards we received, it was a very special Christmas for everyone at my house! Happy New Year!

Dana For Best Fur Sister!

Once I decided to enter one of my siblings in the "Best Fur Sibling" contest, I had a tough decision to make. Not only do I have the Terrible Tortie Twins for sisters, but I also have my doggie brother Loki and my doggie sister Dana to think about. All of them are great in their own way, but I finally decided that I chose my doggie sister Dana for Best Fur Sibling. Since it is Thursday Thirteen, I will give thirteen reasons why I chose Dana.
1) Besides mommy, Dana is the first one in our family to love me. Loki and the twins took some time getting used to me, but Dana thought I was the best from the moment mommy brought me home.
2) Dana was born deaf, and her first home wasn't very friendly to her. They thought she was being naughty on purpose and ignoring them, when the real problem was she just couldn't hear. She got in trouble a lot and was hit. You would never know that now. She is always smiling and happy with us.
3) Dana will give you kisses all of the time, even if you don't want one and you have just finished grooming your furs. She won't take no for an answer. She's a love machine!
4) If there is something yummy in the trash and you can't quite reach it, Dana will get it for you and share.
5) Dana loves to play with our toys. Even if I don't like my pink mousie being all wet and slobbery, I have to admit she has great tastes to prefer kitty toys over doggie toys.
6) Dana will share her yummy stinky goodness with us. She doesn't bark at us or warn us away from her food like Loki does. Dana is great about sharing.
7) Dana has long soft furs that are great to snuggle against.
8) Dana never loses her temper. EVER.
9) Dana has great eyesight. She lets us know about everything she sees in the yard. Raccoons can't creep up on our house! We are safe with her watching out for us.
10) Dana is just CUTE. When she's happy to see you she wiggles her bum so hard that she curls up into a tight "U" shape.
11) Dana talks a lot. It comes out as a growl, but it isn't scary. It just means she is happy and has something to tell you.
12) The only time Dana isn't busy playing or sharing with us is when she is asleep. When she sleeps, she curls into a tight floofy ball of fur and looks very sweet. Sometimes she looks so sweet one of the twins will have to go love on her and wake her up.
13) Dana loves all of us very much. Even though sometimes I lose my patience with her, she never loses her patience with me. I think Dana would make a great saint!

Wordless Wednesday - Aussie Style!

Last but not least . . .

It's DANA!!!!!!!

But before I introduce you to Dana, I would like to thank my new purrfectly wonderful friends at Zoolatry for making such lovely pictures of me! I couldn't wait to share them with all of you.

This one is of me and my sisters . . . Holly and Ivy . . . (sort of.) Maggy and Zoey are right; sometimes I DO wish my sisters were just their namesakes and not two naughty kitties competing with me for my mommy's affection! I think this one would make a GREAT holiday card, don't you? =^_^=

This one made my mommy laugh. I have a "straw fetish" or "addiction." Mommy calls straws "Tybalt's crack." Whenever I see a straw my eyes get big and black and I almost quiver in anticipation. I especially like straws that smell like my mommy. It isn't fun to just have one handed to me, though. Straws are much more fun when you have to steal them. Mommy finds my straws hidden all over the house, sometimes even in her bed! Hey, mommy, I'm just being sweet and sharing them with you!

But, enough about me and my wonderful self. Today is Dana's day on my blog! I have to say, of my two doggie siblings, Dana is the one that I spend the most time with. I used to hate her when I was a small kitten, because she wanted to love me so much, and she was bigger than I was and so very exuberant! I would hiss and run away. I soon got used to her, though, and now I will play with her and let her kiss me. I even share my toys with her! Dana feels about kitty toys the way I feel about straws. She would rather play with our toys than her own doggie toys any day.

Here is Dana.
Dana is so very active that mommy has a hard time taking her picture. Mommy has to chase her with the camera and hope for the best. Dana is a pure-bred miniature Australian Shepherd. She is our "special needs" child. Dana is the product of "merle to merle" breeding, which is a very bad breeding practice. Dana was born deaf. Mommy saw her on a special deaf dog rescue site and adopted her to be Loki's special patrol buddy. Mommy was a little nervous about adopting a deaf doggie, but Dana fit in perfectly and is actually a very sweet and good girl! We kitties know that Dana is special, so we pay extra attention to her to make sure she is ok. Mommy has to crate Dana and Loki up at night because we pay so much attention to Dana that we won't let her sleep. Ivy is the worst one of us about that. Ivy loves to crawl in Dana's crate with her and snuggle. She rubs up against Dana a lot and loves for Dana to give her kisses. Here is a picture of Ivy checking up on Dana to see how she is doing.

Dana is a true character. Since she is an Aussie, she doesn't have a tail, but that doesn't stop her from trying to wag it! She gets called "wiggle butt" and "Miss Priss" a lot because of that. She also loves to wiggle up to you with a toy in her mouth (usually mine!) Dana growls a lot. That is her way of saying "Hello!" and "Look at me!" She's also great at barking. When she's out patrolling with Loki, she barks loudly to let everyone know that she has seen a squirrel or chipmunk or a racoon . . . you get the idea. Dana has great eyesight. I think she can see stuff the rest of us can't!

I hope you all enjoyed meeting Dana. That is it for my introductions! Now you have met all of us furry children.

Mommy just told me last night that she has to go to something called a "Conference" in Savannah over the weekend, so I may be too busy keeping everything in order for her to blog much the next few days. Grandmama will be coming over to check on us and give us snuggles, so that will be fun, but I will be very glad when my mommy comes back home. I don't like it when she leaves.
