Well, mommy and I are giving up on saying we are going to edit pictures before we put them up . . . if we wait for that, they will NEVER be posted. So, without further ado, here are some pictures we wanted to share with you all.
Early this month, Mommy and Almost Dad and Grandmama and Uncle Sean all took a trip up to Helen together so that they could look for a wedding spot (which they did find and booked so hurray for them). It was SUPER pretty for their trip this time, unlike the chilly and cloudy yet romantic Valentine's Day trip that Mommy and Almost Dad had when they got engaged.
Mommy loved all the flowers, and she's pretty proud of how well this picture turned out.
And because mommy is a sucker for all things furry, she had to take more pictures of horsies.
Mommy is also a sucker for pretty scenery, so she had to take more pictures of the river, this time from under the bridge.
Then a few weekends ago Mommy and Grandmama and Uncle Sean and his girlfriend went to the Georgia Renaissance Festival. It was another beautiful weekend, and they had a lot of fun. Mommy and Grandmama spent most of their time looking for a wedding dress, which they found, so hurray again.
The first thing they saw when they arrived was a DRAGON!
Dragons must not be as fierce as I thought, since there is a blurpy in a wagon RIGHT THERE and no one seems to be worried . . . unless drangonslayers come younger than I thought.
They watched the Barely Balanced Acrobats. The show was both funny and amazing.
There was also a very pretty English Water Garden. Mommy really liked the froggie.
And last but not least . . . a picture of two of us furry babies. I know, it's just Loki and Dana and not us kitties, but they were being very cute using their doghouse as a double-decker napper. Loki is on top and Dana is inside. Mommy had to take the picture through the window because she knew they would run up to her if she went outside to take it, so it isn't very clear. As you can tell, mommy has been spending A LOT of time away from me on the weekends. I don't understand why I'm not allowed to go on these trips with her . . . anykitty have advice on how a mancat can stow away?

Thankful Thursday - Secret Paws
DANA: OHMIGOSHOHMIGOSHOHMIGOSHOHMIGOSH!
LOKI AND I GOT OUR SECRET PAWS!
OHMIGOSHOHMIGOSHOHMIGOSHOHMIGOSH!
LOKI: It was very exciting. You can just see how thrilled I was that a package finally came for me in the mail. You know, before all of the other furry babies were adopted, I'd get all the packages to myself. Nowadays Tybalt gets more mail than I do . . . and when I get mail, I have to share it with Dana. Not that I don't love Dana . . . but it just isn't the same.
LOKI: Everything smelled great, too. That box was just full of treats . . . greenie chewies and cookies . . . wonderful gastronomic delights!
DANA: It was so YUMMY I couldn't WAIT!!! I WANT IT NOWNOWNOWNOW!!!!!!LOKI: I have to admit that Mommy took her own sweet time helping us open the box and unwrap our presents. She can be so slow. And yes, I am embarrassed to admit that my mommy was still wearing her Mickey Mouse pajamas in these pictures. I believe my mommy would LIVE in pajamas if the world would let her.
DANA: AND BILLY!!!! JUST LOOK!!!!! I GOT A SQUEAKY TOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOKI: I do love a good squeaky, myself. These toys were just the right size to carry around, and they give a good loud SQUEAK.
DANA: AND THEN! BILLY! FAGIN! I TOOK THEM BOTH!!!! I GOT LOKI'S TOO!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
LOKI: Thanks to Riley Dog for our wonderful Secret Paws!
DANA: OHMIGOSHOHMIGOSHOHMIGOSH! RILEY DOG! YOU ARE PAWSOME!!!!!!!!!!

Mancat Monday Tattles
Kitties, on this Mancat Monday I have a tattle on my doggie brother, Loki. You can see him here, stealing mommy's spot on the couch with her favorite "Captain Jack Sparrow" blankie. When Mommy came home one day last week, she looked out the window and saw that Loki had something big in his mouth. Okay, more than big. Let's say HUGE, because it barely fit in his mighty doggie jaws. And he was romping around and tossing it and nudging it and laughing. Mommy went out to see what he had found, and it was this.
A tortoise! A cute little tortoise. Mommy had a heck of a time rescuing it, too. Loki thought she was playing and didn't mean business at all. Mommy had to wrestle the poor tortoise away from him so that she could put it safely in the front yard where Loki couldn't get it again.
Mommy told me she has a bad feeling that the tortoise makes its home in the backyard, though, and that she will just wind up rescuing it again from Loki later.
I hope that poor tortoise didn't get sick from all that tossing around it went through before mommy came to its aid.
(We kitties had a good sniff before mommy put it outside again, and we didn't think it was all that exciting. Silly dog.)

Stormy Weather!
Mommy made it home to me right before the bad, bad, bad storm came on Tuesday night. We thought it was only a severe thunderstorm, but a tornado actually visited our area. Mommy was so impressed by how much hail we got, that she had to take a picture of it. Here is our back deck - our whole yard and the rooftops were all white with it, like it had just snowed!

Here is Loki having himself a good skritch. He barked at the loud storm while it was going on, but then he calmed down when it got quiet again. However, when it was bed time, he kept crying and begging to be let back out so that he could check out what all the neighbors were doing since they were all busy with the storm clean-up. This didn't make mommy very happy with him.
Are you wondering where the Tortie Twins were?
They were down in the basement exploring and ignoring mommy! Mommy finally convinced them it was better to be upstairs than downstairs. Holly came up first (of course.) Ivy took a lot more convincing.

Back at Last!
Hello Kitties! Yes, I am back at last! Mommy had to go back to work, which means I finally get to blog again. We had a great Christmas, which I will tell you more about later. Today's post belongs to Loki and Dana and their Secret Paws! They received it just in time . . . Christmas Eve! They were very excited to get it. Their Secret Paws came from Bogdan and all the kitties at the Morning Scratch . . . and I must say, they did a wonderful job shopping for doggies. Dana and Loki received peanut butter cookie treats and tennis balls and toys . . . everything was so great that they couldn't decide what they wanted to play with first. Loki and Dana want to thank Bogdan and the Morning Scratch for all the great presents. They love it all!
Here is Loki checking out the Secret Paws package. He loves getting mail!
Here is Dana coming to see what all the fuss is about. You can tell by the look in Loki's eye that he wasn't really wanting to share with her. Sometimes he thinks Dana is a bratty baby sister.
Thanks again, everyone! Between the Secret Paws and all the Holiday cards we received, it was a very special Christmas for everyone at my house! Happy New Year!

Loki
Everyone seemed to enjoy meeting my sisters Holly and Ivy yesterday. They were happy that they were so popular! I am afraid they are spending a little extra time on their grooming now, and keep asking to have more pictures taken. I told them this is my blog. I will share it with them occasionally, but I am not going to let my sisters take it over just so that they can flirt with all of the handsome kitties out there!
The next member of my big, furry family is Loki. He's a dog, but I like dogs, so that is ok. He is a rescue, just like the rest of my mommy's furry babies! Loki was the first one to be adopted when mommy bought her house three years ago. Silly mommy, thinking about adopting a doggie before adopting a kitty! Loki was at the local shelter, and mommy saw his picture on their petfinder.com page. He was so handsome and friendly that she decided he needed to come home with her. The shelter had named him "Blue," but our uncle (Mommy's little brother) came up with the name "Loki," which fits him much better, since he was a very active and mischevious puppy.
Here is Loki.
Loki really likes to have close-ups! Mommy has to back away from him when she snaps his picture because he is so curious about what she is doing. Loki is an Australian Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix. He is mostly shepherd through and through, though. Loki is very protective of his family. If I am the Prince of mommy's house, then Loki is her Knight! He takes his job very seriously. Every day Loki demands to be let outside so that he can patrol the yard to make sure there are no intruders. He does this several times a day. Even when he rests, he makes sure that he is laying in a high spot so that he has a good view of his domain. Nothing can sneak up on our house with Loki on the job! Before mommy adopted another doggie for him to play with, Loki would amuse himself by herding sticks and limbs around the yard in circles, pretending they were sheep.
Loki is just as handsome as I am (in his own special doggie way). Both of us have blue eyes . . . well, Loki has ONE blue eye. That means we sort of match! You would think with so much in common that Loki would have liked me right away. When I was first adopted, I really wanted him to like me. He looked like so much fun, and his tail was so feathery and wagged so nicely that I just wanted to pounce on it! Loki didn't like me much back then, though. He was used to being mommy's only boy. He loved his girls so much that mommy called them his "harem." I don't think he appreciated mommy bringing in another boy at all. He was very jealous, but he still behaved himself nicely. He would just bark at me and warn me not to play with his tail. He's much more friendly with me now, although he is still jealous that I get so much more lap time than he does. Loki thinks he is a lap dog, and his favorite person (besides mommy) is our grandmama. Whenever she comes over he gets very excited and demands that she let him lay in her lap and watch television. He remembers that when he was an only child his grandmama would come over to check on him and cuddle in front of the tv while mommy was gone working. Here is Loki on his favorite couch.
See how nicely he stretches? Sometimes Loki reminds me of a kitty! Only a kitty could manage to stretch as nicely as that. You may notice that there are a lot of rips in the couch. Mommy is very, very glad that she bought her first set of furniture from Goodwill, because when Loki was a puppy he romped on the furniture so much that he hurt it. Mommy loves her babies more than her furniture, though, so it is alright. And you can tell just by the way Loki relaxes on it that the couch is still super comfy.
Loki is a very noble knight, and I am glad he is around to keep us all safe. He is very gentlemanly, and even has patience with the terrible twins! We are all grateful to have such a wonderful older brother. Tomorrow, I will introduce you to the last member of our family, Dana! She is a doggie too, and a very special one.
