Hello everykitty! It's Ivy with the Tortie Tuesday report!
Mommy was off last Monday AND Tuesday, which was PAWSOME . . . but it meant she didn't take time to help us blog. Oh well, I guess a kitty has to take what she can get.
On the other paw, the FD got his very own camera, and so he is taking a LOT more pictures of us with it. After a photo shoot he lets mommy know that he's taken "more pictures for the blog."
Shhhh . . . just between you and me kitties that camera was given to the FD by his daddy who lives in California because he didn't think mommy and the FD took enough pictures of the CCB. Ha ha ha! *ahem* Anyway, the FD is also using it to capture his furry children as well, which is what any good daddy would do.

Tortie Tuesday Update
Holly here with an update.
Ivy is now using the litterbox again. Mommy praises her every time she catches her. That's the good news.
The bad news is that Tybalt is still refusing to follow her example.
The FD has a new theory - he thinks Tybalt may have new jealousy issues stemming from the Blurp's transition from her infant car seat to her new big girl car seat. Now instead of seeing the FD carry the CCB down to the car every morning in her carseat, Tybalt sees Mommy carrying the CCB down to the car.
Mommy is still giving us extra nip and attention and skritches when she gets home every night, and she's planning a trip to the V-E-T for Tybalt when her green papers get replenished at the end of this month. In the meantime the couch is covered by training pads.
However, mommy's fall classes start next week, so there may be new upset on the way for the Prince. She still plans on helping us blog at least once a week, so we will keep you posted on any new developments.
Tybalt says he has plans for a movie review this Friday. Anyone interested in his opinion of "Inception?"

Tortie Tuesday - Mark Your Calendars!
Hi Kitties, Furries, and Beans! It's the infamous Tortie Twins, Holly and Ivy, speaking here. I'm sure most of us already know this, but some very good friends of ours, the Whiskers and Purrs Gang, will be on television this Wednesday night! It is very, very exciting! We know our kitty friends over at the Whiskers and Purrs Gang, and their super awesome wonderful mommy, are all a little worried about how the show will go, so we are asking everyfurry and bean to watch and send pawsitive thoughts their way . . . with fingers and paws crossed for luck!
Here is the show description, taken from the TLC website:
Truth Be Told
Truth Be Told: I'm Obsessed with My Pet
TV-14 (D)
To some, their animals are more than pets, they are companions, surrogate children and are the main focus of that person?s life. This is the case with Judy and her beauty pageant dog, Trixie, Debby and her service monkey, and Jenny's 11 rescue cats.
We've marked our calendar . . . have you?

Tortie Tuesday - Romantic Karaoke
Well, it was our turn to think up a romantic song for this week of love! To be honest, there are a lot of songs we like. (Mommy is a big music lover, so we furry babies get to hear music ALL the time at our house!) But to be honest, as many songs as we love, there are few that can really touch our hearts and speak to our souls. Here is one of those few - The Beatles "In My Life."

Tortie Tuesday - Nesting
Yes . . . it is the season for nesting. The days are getting shorter, the nights are getting longer, and the weather is getting colder. It is definitely time to find your favorite snuggle spot and snuggle and stay warm!
Don't forget about the big party tomorrow!

Tortie Tuesday - I'm excited!
Hi kitties! Holly here, and I can tell you that FINALLY my mommy has gotten her rear in gear and gotten into the holiday spirit. She had me worried for a while . . . the only decoration she had out was her broom on the front door, which is very important, don't get me wrong, but there was NOTHING else out. I was frightened that I wasn't going to get my broom ride with her this year, but I just know I am now because our house is finally FESTIVE!
Look! Mommy even got a new broom! It says "Witch Parking, All Others Will Be Toad."And we got a new tablecloth for our kitchen table, which Ivy decided matched her furs quite nicely.
There are jack o'lanterns on our coffee table.
And the top of our entertainment center has been decorated quite nicely. Even "Grandmama" (what mommy and Grandmama call the fiber optic witch skull) has been brought out.
Oh, kitties, I can't WAIT until Friday!!!!!!

Tortie Tuesday - Happy Birthday to Us!
Ivy: What is that, sis? You think they forgot our big day?
Holly: No way. Just look cool, Ivy. They are trying to surprise us. Wait . . . what is that noise?
SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Holly: See, Ivy? I knew it! I'm always right.
Ivy: Yeah, but while you are over there looking all cool, I'm busy getting into the cake!
Happy Birthday to two of the most terribly cute tortie twins in the blogosphere!
Mommy: I love you very much, girls. Thanks for adopting me and making my life better.

Tortie Tuesday - Ivy Worries
Mommy is worried about me.
At first, she thought I was being all in her business (even more than usual) because I could feel Fall in the air. After all, Tybalt and Holly and the doggies are friskier than usual, the way they get every year as the seasons change.
But instead of just playing thundering herd of elephants, or playing scream at mommy to be let out even though I know I'm never allowed outside, I started being more of a Velcro Kitty.
I started acting like Tybalt.
And then, I started becoming even more of a Velcro Kitty than Tybalt. And mommy didn't think that was possible.
Mommy hasn't slept in four nights now, because I won't leave her alone. And I don't leave her alone in very kittenish and painful ways. I talk constantly, in a little kittenish quack/squawk. I sit on her. I walk on her. I pat her face and her arms . . . with my claws fully out. I burrow under the covers and bite her. If she gets on to me or puts me off the bed, then I just jump right back up and scream at her, and then get her with my claws again. I sit on her head, like Tybalt, and hold on to her for dear life . . . with all of my claws extended and digging in to her scalp. If my mommy finally has enough and puts me out of the bedroom and shuts the door, I sit right outside of it and scream and claw at it. No matter what she does, I won't leave her alone, and she gets no sleep.
Mommy has checked me out. I am perfectly healthy. I don't have an earache or a toothache. My tummy is fine. My appetite is healthy.
Mommy has come to the conclusion that I am lonely and having separation anxiety. I was the only furry baby that bonded super close with the ex-Almost Dad, and she thinks I finally understand he isn't coming back.
Mommy has been giving me extra attention and doing her best to be patient with me, even when I dig in all of my claws and scream for attention in her sleeping face.
If anyone has any more suggestions about what she can do, please let her know. Mommy really needs her sleep, and she really needs her babies to be happy.

Tortie Tuesday - Catgirls
As many of you know, or have guessed, our mommy loves Japanese animation and comics (anime and manga.) One day a long time ago mommy wondered what we tortie twins would look like if we were characters in a manga . . . so she sketched us as catgirls!
I bet you kitties can tell which is which, right?

Tortie Tuesday Tattle
Holly here, with a tattle on my sister Ivy. This may embarrass her just a little bit.
In the wee hours of the morning, mommy had to get up to let Loki outside to potty, because he was whining. (He's been whining to go outside a lot ever since the tortoise excitement.) Anyway, while she was up, all groggy-eyed, she noticed that SOME tortie had opened the kitchen drawer again. When she walked over to close it, she noticed that all she could see in the drawer was Ivy bum! Ivy had kicked out some towels and made herself a little bed in the drawer, and was asleep in it headfirst. Mommy thought it was cute, so she went to fetch the camera. By the time she was ready to take a picture, Ivy had woken up and was yawning and jumping out of the drawer to see what mommy was up to. So Mommy didn't get a cute picture of Ivy's bum in the drawer, but she did get a pretty interesting action shot.

Tortie Tuesday - Long Weekends
I hope everykitty had a great Labor Day Weekend! As you can see, we kitties took it easy. Mommy was home all day with us Sunday and Monday! And as you might be able to tell from the floors, we convinced her she shouldn't waste her holiday weekend on housework. Instead, we encouraged her to spend a lot of time on the couch with us watching BBC America and playing with our new feather toy.
We realized that we missed the landmark 200th post a few weeks ago, so we wanted to have a belated party for it! Mark your calendars, kitties - this Thursday we are going to have a TOTAL TORTIE BLOWOUT! Yep, we are going to surprise Tybalt with a SUPER party, complete with his secret niptini recipe (shhh . . . he doesn't know we know it!)
Remember . . . don't let the cat out of the bag! (Hee hee)

Tortie Tuesday - Tortie Rules #2
Holly: Dogfood can be tasty. Just make sure your doggie brother is outside before you go in for a taste. Doggies usually aren't big on sharing.Ivy: Adventure can be found anywhere, and most especially on the kitchen table!

Tortie Tuesday - Tortie Rules

Ivy: Since there was nip sprinkled on the kitty scratcher, I was . . . well, I was just a teensy bit more aggressive and was actually the first of the three of us to enjoy it.

Holly: After the other two had their turns, I finally got a chance to experience the joy of organic catnip sprinkled on totally scratchable cardboard. Why have we never had one of these before?
