Tattle Tail Tuesday

Somekitty has been ignoring the litterbox.

Somekitty has been using the couch instead.

Mommy is most displeased.

We aren't talking.

Tortie Tuesday Tattle

Holly here, with a tattle on my sister Ivy. This may embarrass her just a little bit.

In the wee hours of the morning, mommy had to get up to let Loki outside to potty, because he was whining. (He's been whining to go outside a lot ever since the tortoise excitement.) Anyway, while she was up, all groggy-eyed, she noticed that SOME tortie had opened the kitchen drawer again. When she walked over to close it, she noticed that all she could see in the drawer was Ivy bum! Ivy had kicked out some towels and made herself a little bed in the drawer, and was asleep in it headfirst. Mommy thought it was cute, so she went to fetch the camera. By the time she was ready to take a picture, Ivy had woken up and was yawning and jumping out of the drawer to see what mommy was up to. So Mommy didn't get a cute picture of Ivy's bum in the drawer, but she did get a pretty interesting action shot.

Tortie Tuesday Tattles

Today we have an old picture of us up from last winter.

Why?

Because mommy has been attacked by the evil migraine monster again!

This is one of the worst ones she's had in years. She was out from work yesterday with it (and absent from helping us blog!), but she's back at work today. She had to be, because apparently there is something going on called a "staff retreat" that mommy thinks is silly and a waste of time, but the people in charge think it is very important and you can only be excused from attending it if you are dead. Mommy feels like death, but we guess feeling like death isn't close enough to actually being dead to excuse her.

We all had a great day yesterday snuggling mommy and purring on her, but we wanted to let you all know that we are still here and we love you all. Mommy won't be able to help us visit anyone until tomorrow. Sigh.

Happy Tortie Tuesday, everykitty!

Tortie Tuesday - Tattlin' on Tybalt

Ivy: Tybalt isn't the only one trying to nap through the heat. I was curled up next to mommy on the couch when she decided I was too cute, so she had to get up and find the flashy box. I suppose I am too cute! Just look at me! (Hee hee)Holly: Mommy thought the same about me. I was at her feet, napping on top of her flip flops. I LOVE shoes! Mommy's flip flops smelled so good that I rolled around on them before I finally fell asleep with this smile on my face.
Now for the tattle-tail part of our Tortie Tuesday post.

Last Thursday and Friday mommy got a new roof. She has needed one ever since she moved in, and she finally managed to get one this year. (Mommy edit: Thank you tax refund and economic stimulus checks!)

Anyway, Thursday morning bright and early some strange men came with loud machines and started tromping around on our roof. They were very, very loud and they were there ALL DAY. I was okay with it. I just watched out of the windows to make sure they were doing their job correctly.

Ivy: BUT TYBALT!!!! He was a scaredy-cat! He ran and hid ALL DAY LONG. When mommy got home Thursday night she called him and called him, but the loud men were still on the roof so Tybalt wouldn't come out. Mommy finally laid down on the bedroom floor and looked under the bed, and there Tybalt was! He scooted over to the edge and talked to her, but he wouldn't come out to see her. He was too scared!

Holly: Later on after the noisy men left he came out on his own to find mommy in the living room. And what did she do? She picked him up and kissed him and called him a brave boy! Mommy is a LIAR!

Ivy: We just laughed at him.

Holly: And then the next day the loud men came again and got back up on the roof. And mommy got a kind of panicky call from Almost Dad because he couldn't find Tybalt! He looked under the chairs and under the bed, and no Tybalt. He was scared he had gotten out somehow. But then he saw Tybalt at the foot of the stairs down to the basement. He had wedged himself between the bottom stair and the basement door!

Ivy: I don't know if Tybalt is a Master of Disguise like he claims, but he certainly has his disappearing act down! When Grandmama came over later in the day, she couldn't find him anywhere either. And Grandpapa came over and had to ask if mommy still had Tybalt, because he didn't see him anywhere. But when mommy came home, he came right out to see her - but of course, the noisy men were gone by then.

Holly: So that is our tattle - Tybalt is a fraidy cat!!!!!!

Ivy: HAHAHAHAHA, TYBALT! FRAIDY CAT! FRAIDY CAT!

Tybalt: Ivy, aren't you forgetting who the kitty was that was so upset by the loud men that they had a sick tummy, and all over mommy's kitchen rug? Hmmmmm?

Ivy: . . . . . . hush Tybalt. You know I'm sensitive.

Holly: I guess I'm the only brave kitty here!

Tuesday Tattles With Tybalt

Hello everykitty! I am sorry I missed you all yesterday for Mancat Monday. I thought I would do my tattle to tell you why.
Sunday afternoon my mommy did something very silly. She was carrying stuff down to the basement, followed by the A.D. (Almost Dad), and she fell. She didn't fall in a graceful tumble, either. She landed on her back and slid down the stairs. One minute she was stepping down the stairs, the next she was going down them like she was on a Slip n' Slide! What she had been carrying landed neatly on a stair, safe and sound, her shoes landed at the bottom neatly lined up like they were waiting for her feet to catch up, and her hair tie pulled itself off and was left behind. She almost gave A.D. a heart attack! Especially since she was laughing so hard she was crying. He didn't know what to think. I guess he isn't that used to mommy yet, after all. At the time, she said the only thing that really hurt was her pride. And she couldn't stop laughing . . . she told me if I knew how to operate the camera I could have taped her for America's Funniest Home Videos.
Well, we kitties sniffed her to make sure she was ok, then we let her and the A.D. finish going down to the basement and then over to Grandmama's house for dinner. Mommy and the A.D. helped me chat at the M-Cat Super Bowl Party, and then mommy noticed that she was starting to hurt. Pretty badly. Well, the A.D. left for his house late, leaving mommy in my care. I spent all night in bed with her, making sure she was ok. But despite my best efforts, mommy woke up yesterday morning and knew that there was no way she was going to make it to work! Let me tell you, I was kind of excited about that. Even though it isn't nice that mommy was hurt, it was nice having her home! She couldn't do much, so my sisters and I got a lot of snuggling time in . . . first on the bed and then with the blankie on the couch in the living room. I spent extra time snuggling around her neck and purring extra hard in her ear, because I know that is the most healing kind of kitty purr. She's back at work today, at least until this afternoon, so I am back with everykitty now. I know I've been tagged for a meme and given awards and have even been invited on a Sassy adventure . . . and I'll be sure to catch up with you all! Purrs!
PS: It looks like the Twins finally have some interest! Thanks, everykitty! They are going to be excited when I tell them. =^_^=

Tattling Tortie Tuesday

Hello, kitties! It's me, Holly, reporting to you for this week's Tortie Tuesday!
Ivy and I had some excitement last night. We got mail! Yes, you may recall how a certain someone in our house has been hogging ALL of the Christmas Cards we've received. Well, our friends Tazo, Titus, and Earl Grey certainly did, so they sent us a card of our very own! It was clearly addressed to "Holly and Ivy."

Now for the tattling part of today's post. Well, as you may notice in the next picture, Tybalt just couldn't stand it. Notice how his paw is placed on OUR CARD!

He even nosed his way in when Ivy was checking out the card!

Thank you so much! Tazo, Titus, and Earl Grey . . . you are the best! See how much I love your card?

Where, you may ask, is Ivy? Why isn't she helping me report?

Well, kitties, we also received cards from Beau Beau and Angie (they were gorgeous!) and a certain mancat and his naughty alter ego (Hendrix/Bendrix). Ivy was so excited about that last card that she's been slaving away at a special greeting of her own.

Here it is:

Tortie Tuesday Tattle and Mail

Holly: Hello, everykitty! We are back for another Tortie Tuesday!

Ivy: And another Tattle Tuesday!

Holly: AND for a special mail call!

Ivy: When mommy helped us pick our cards out, she made sure they were from ALL of us to everykitty.

Holly: But we have noticed that Tybalt has been claiming all the cards WE have received as HIS!

Ivy: Imagine our shock and disgust at that! Every card has been addressed to "Tybalt, Holly, and Ivy" . . . or at the very least "Tybalt and Family."

Holly: So this time we made sure that we were there when mommy came home and announced that we had mail! We were the first ones to check it out.

Ivy: And then, of course, Tybalt had to come and interrupt our investigation.

Holly: You can see in the picture above how I REFUSED to be moved away from our cards.

Ivy: I didn't think it was worth fighting over, so I went ahead and left. But you can see in the next picture how Tybalt CLAIMED all three cards as his!

Tybalt: Hey! It is my blog, after all girls. Plus you can see my paw is on Kimo and Sabi's card . . . they are my fellow mancats. Plus Queen Snickers and Empress share mine and my mommy's interest in anime . . . and Abby is a gorgeous fluffy sweetheart of a kitty, plus her sister Boo is my friend Jack's sweetheart . . . these were SPECIAL cards and meant a lot to me!

Ivy: Riiiiight, Tybalt. These cards were "special." What about the other cards you have gotten?

Tybalt: They are ALL special! These kitties are my friends! I don't mind sharing with you, but you have to admit that the cards mean more to me than they do you. You girls are hardly ever on here, after all.

Holly: You are probably right, Tybalt, but you know ONE card is going to put Ivy on Cloud 9 when we get it.

Ivy: HUSH! *blush*

Tybalt: Oh, you mean . . . Bendrix?! *eye roll*

Ivy: ANYWAY . . . next comes the tattle part. We finally got mommy to start putting up our cards on display so that we can see them all the time, even when she is gone.

Holly: And guess what, kitties? We have received more cards than our mommy! She has received two cards, and we have received seven!

Tybalt: I feel kind of bad about that. Maybe we should share them with her? Here is a picture of the cards we all have received so far (including mommy's).

Ivy: You will notice that mommy has hung the cards on her unfinished dining room door, no doubt in an effort to prettify it.

Holly: She tries.

Tybalt: Mommy does her best, girls. You know that! Anyway, that is it for Tattling Tortie Tuesday!

Tattle Tail Tuesday!

I decided that I should join in the fun and tell on my mommy!

But first, I just want to say that I got TWO MORE cards last night! I was so excited. One of them was from Mu Shue and Lily (which I won't show in case it is a surprise), and the other was from Chase, Latte, and Kaze! Isn't it a beautiful card? I can't wait to find just to right spot to display it.

Now . . . for telling on my mommy . . .

My mommy has lived in her house for almost 4 years now. When she moved in she knew it would be a "fixer-upper" because the former owners had been "remodeling" but never finished anything. About once a year my mommy and my grandparents take a stab at fixing something in the house, but none of them ever finish it. Mommy lives there all of the time, you would think she would at least fix ONE thing on her own, you know? Just look at what we live with!

The Unfinished Living Room Wall.

The Unfinished Dining Room Door.

And finally, the Unfinished Bedroom Closet.

It makes a kitty hang his head in shame. Lazy mommy!
